Digital Technologies have changed many facets of how we live and work and play. In many ways they have brought incredible benefits, but they also bring many possible harms and create profound ethical dilemmas. Artificial Intelligence (AI) greatly amplifies both of these perspectives, positive and negative.
Christians over the ages have had to wrestle with our responses to science and technology, and now that is especially true for digital technologies and AI.
This talk explores how smart AI actually is, and is likely to become.
- What ethical dilemmas does it raise?
- Does it really pose an existential threat to humanity?
- And what are some Christian perspectives on these questions?
